Name
Life, Health, and Happiness in the Era of Trikafta: What Does the Future Hold?
Description

During this session, experts in the field and community members will discuss what we might anticipate from long-term use of Trikafta. Information will be based on data and our personal and clinical experiences with Trikafta to date, as well as what we have learned from 10 years of experience with another highly effective modulator, Kalydeco. Through short presentations and a panel discussion, speakers will cover the available research on the long-term impacts of highly effective modulator therapy, and what this research might tell us about the use of Trikafta and simplifying the treatment burden. Speakers will also discuss how Trikafta may be changing how people with CF are thinking about their futures and how providers counsel people with CF and family members to help make decisions about their physical and mental health. Because this session will cover the future of Trikafta therapy and outcomes, attendees should have a basic understanding of what modulators are, how they work, potential side effects, and the results of the initial studies of Trikafta in people with CF.
