Dr. Guimbellot received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Mississippi State University, and her MD and PhD in genetics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed residency in general pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center, and fellowship in pulmonary medicine at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. She is a CF clinician in the CF center at Children's of Alabama and an associate scientist in the Gregory Fleming James Cystic Fibrosis Research Center at UAB.
