Jennifer is the mother of two children, Ashton (20) and Lola (15), who have CF and have been taking Trikafta since it was approved by the FDA. They also took Orkambi and Symdeko prior to Trikafta. Jennifer is a Board member of both the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Compass program as well as the local San Diego chapter. She started her volunteer work the day her son was diagnosed with CF in 2001 after his very premature birth due to complicated meconium ileus. Since then, her family has helped raise over $500,000 for the CFF. Jennifer has a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration from Michigan State University and has worked at non-profits and currently in the elementary education field. Her current passions are raising awareness about CF Related Diabetes treatment and diagnosis options and how to successfully co-parent children with CF after divorce. Jennifer enjoys cycling, hiking and watching movies with her children and is getting married in June.
