Sylvia is from Bogota, Colombia, and has lived in Texas for 23 years. She has two sons, and her youngest is 21 years old and has CF. She has served on their CF Center Parent Advisory Council, on the CF Learning Network, wrapping up her term on the Success with Therapies Research Consortium Steering Committee, is a member of the Medical Traumatic Stress in Chronic Illness group and a PI for the EATN study. She also helps CF Foundation with reviewing translations.
