Elizabeth Yu, PhD, joined the CF Foundation at the start of 2020 as the Foundation’s physician scientist training programs director. Her goals are to support and develop a cohort of physician scientists with an understanding of CF who can carry forward critical CF research questions and caring for people with CF. Before joining the Foundation, Elizabeth worked at the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs managing grants, coordinating review meetings, and facilitating the development of ground-breaking and patient-relevant research. Elizabeth received her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in molecular biophysics and structural biology where she studied the impact of protein mutations on structure and stability, and impacts for disease and treatment.
