Seth Gregory is a 37-year-old from Temple, Texas, living with cystic fibrosis. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Baylor University. In 2012, he decided to make his health his full-time job after learning about the exciting new advances in the CF drug pipeline. He knew preserving his lung function would be key to being able to fully take advantage of these new game-changing drugs. While always interested in research, he began to focus on new medications, nutrition, exercise, and anything that could potentially improve his health. He has participated in multiple clinical trials, including the current PROMISE study. Seth has spoken at local CF events such as Great Strides and the Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center’s CF education day. He has also taken part in a Gilead CF sales team panel with his doctor and respiratory therapist that focused on the shared decision-making process of patient care. Seth currently serves on the Patient Advisory Board at the UT Southwestern Adult CF Clinic. He has enjoyed getting to know his fellow members better during this COVID quarantine time and finds their weekly Skype calls a blessing. In his free time, he likes playing golf, sand volleyball, watersports, indoor climbing, and just being outdoors with family and friends.
