Bio

Cynthia George is senior director of Partnerships for Sustaining Daily Care at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She has extensive experience leading change as a family nurse practitioner in pediatric and adult healthcare settings. Over the past two decades her main area of practice focused on adults living with cystic fibrosis in which she played a key role in establishing an adult CF program in Washington, D.C. In 2008, she joined the CF Foundation, leading national efforts to harness the power of collaborative work between care teams and people and families with CF to promote a culture of research and to facilitate innovation that addresses the challenges of sustaining CF treatments with everyday life. One innovation is the Partnership Enhancement Program, which helps clinicians effectively coproduce care with people with CF and their family by training them in relationship-centered communication skills not traditionally offered in professional education.
