Three researchers who study nutrition and cystic fibrosis will share findings and insights from their work In this roundtable session. Dr. Zachary Sellers, MD, PhD, will discuss the changing landscape of CF nutrition research and highlight the importance of individualized nutrition therapy to improve nutrition in all patients. Dr. Virginia Stallings, MD, will present information on CF-pancreatic disease (insufficiency) and persistent dietary fat malabsorption, and share new developments in structured lipid technology and supplementation. Dr. Alexandra Kass, MD will review issues of disordered eating and body image in diet-treated chronic illnesses, such as CF and diabetes, and discuss work she is doing with providers to help improve the awareness, screening, and treatment of these issues. Speaker presentations will be followed by time for questions from the audience.
