See Us: Faces of Disparities in CF Care and Experience
Description

Disparities experienced by minoritized people with CF are widespread but not well understood. During this session we will present what we know about the nature and consequences of disparities in CF care and research, and shine a light on the many questions still to be answered. This session represents the beginning of a conversation about disparities — a conversation we invite you to join! Using a combination of formal presentations and storytelling, this session will bring existing disparities to life. This session is designed to create a welcoming opening and a safe space for marginalized people to share their stories and establish a foundation for future conversations and research. During the session, we will encourage members of our community who have been directly impacted by care disparities to share about those experiences using the chat feature — because a disparity we know about is a disparity we can address. The only prerequisites for this session are a sense of curiosity and commitment to fostering equity. Participants should be comfortable discussing difficult and sometimes uncomfortable or unfamiliar topics.
