Patrick Flume is a professor of medicine and pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina. He serves as the Powers-Huggins endowed chair for Cystic Fibrosis and director of the MUSC Cystic Fibrosis Center. He is co-principal investigator of the South Carolina Clinical & Translational Research Institute and leads a large clinical trials program dedicated to CF, bronchiectasis, and nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), with a particular interest in determining optimal management of CF pulmonary exacerbations.
