This session will feature a group of adults with CF who have followed career paths in various tracks of science and research. The group will provide the audience with insight into the important role that those with CF who have science backgrounds serve in the larger community, including assisting with optimization of clinical trial designs, serving as advocates and mediators for researchers to better understand patients’ explanations and experiences by conveying life with CF in a scientific way, empowering patients to understand their health and the science behind it, and to demonstrate that we don’t have to be only patients fighting CF – we can also be scientists helping to cure our own disease.
