Name
All Bugs are Not Created Equal: An Introduction to the Facts and Fictions of CF Infections
Session Format
Information
Description

In this session you will learn about the basic differences between the most common CF microorganisms, how they are detected and diagnosed, how they are treated, how they become resistant to treatment, and the concept of “antibiotic stewardship.” Follow along as we walk a sample through the culturing process all the way to how doctors may decide which treatment to prescribe. Finally, we will pose some questions to the audience to help discriminate between fact, fiction, and what we just don’t know yet about CF infections.
