Somer was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at 11 months in 1980. She tries to live each day to the fullest by keeping her hopes high and dreams big. Somer is an active advocate in the CF community, and created Love To Breathe® in 2001 to educate and raise awareness about cystic fibrosis and spread love whenever she can. Julie – who loves traveling, running and cooking – is a longtime CF advocate. She adventures with her husband, Chad, who has CF, and their two sons in Alexandria, Virginia. Julie works to spread her positive outlook in daily living as well as in her long-term perspective. Drew Strube is the father of a child with CF, Major. He and his wife, Jaci, have been avid advocates for CF since Major's diagnosis at 7 days old. Drew serves as National Advocacy co-chair as well as advocacy co-chair on his chapter board alongside his wife Jaci. Drew focuses on fundraising for Great Strides and advocating to his senators and representatives in Washington, D.C., on behalf of all of those affected by CF.
