Jessica was diagnosed with CF at the age of 5 months due to failure to thrive. Active in sports her whole life, had a sudden decline in lung fiction despite all efforts in 10/2014. Despite medication, a feeding tube, tracheotomy, and heroic efforts by the CF team transplant was eminent and the gift of life was granted on 1/5/15. A nurse since age 22, Jessica lives a full active life working, completing several 1/2 marathons, triathlons, and duathlons. A Dog-Mutt-rescue mom she loves to help fellow CF patients and those facing transplant alleviate their fears and acts as a mentor along with her wonderful husband.
