Amanda was diagnosed with CF at a year old and had a very “normal” and loving childhood! Despite contracting a pan resistant fungus at 9, she finished school and went off to college. At 20 years old, on May 23, 2015, she received her first double lung transplant. This would be the start of her complex transplant and CF journey. At 21, Amanda would receive yet another life saving transplant. Amanda went on to live her life and advocate for the CF community as well as transplant. Becoming sick again, Amanda received a rare THIRD double lung transplant, making her the 11th person in the country. She now lives in Florida and loves walking her two dogs in the Florida sunshine!
