Rebecca Bathon received her master’s degree in social work from Washington University in St. Louis. She has worked in medical social work with chronic illness for her professional career and is currently serving as the clinical social worker for the Lung Transplant Program at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. Rebecca has presented abstracts at the annual North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference on reproductive decision making, transition to transplant, psychosocial issues in nutrition, and multidisciplinary end-of-life care and at the Solid Organ Transplant Course on the Role of Social Work in Transplantation. She has served as a national trainer for a Center for Mental Health Studies-funded program with the National Association of Social Workers training social workers in ethics. Rebecca serves as the co-chair for Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s Ethic’s Consult Committee and is a lead for the consult service. She completed the Ethic’s practicum in 2015 and has been a clinical social worker at Barnes-Jewish Hospital for 20 years.
