Learn how people made their decision to move forward or not pursue transplant and the factors involved, including the physical, mental, emotional, financial, and spiritual considerations.
Session Objectives
- Learn what factors to consider when thinking about moving forward with transplant.
- Discuss timing, such as the right time to be referred for evaluation and listed for transplant.
- Hear the decision-making process from someone who chose transplant and from someone who decided not to pursue transplant.
- Address the stigmas around delaying, not receiving, or choosing not to receive a transplant, and how to cope with or find support for your decisions.
