The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s goal of a cure for every person with CF is still several years away. In the meantime, a lung transplant may be a viable option for people living with advanced lung disease. Understanding all stages of CF across the lifespan, including CF advanced lung disease and lung transplant, is vital to the CF Foundation’s mission of leaving no one behind. In 2016, the CF Foundation launched the Lung Transplant Initiative, which has grown exponentially over the last four years. Join us to learn more about the initiative’s progress, including updates on new lung transplant clinical care guidelines, programs to improve collaboration between CF and transplant care teams, CF-specific transplant outcomes, research efforts, and more.
