Yvette Imsand is a 31-year-old CF spouse who lives in Georgia. Her husband was diagnosed at 6 months old and is now 39 years old. He is pre-transplant, has CFRD, and DDf508. He uses oxygen and has been on Trikafta for almost one-and-a-half years. Unfortunately, he has not had the same amazing results as many others have seen, but he is stable and hardly coughs compared to before he started taking it. They have been together for 13 years, married for three years, and they have two dogs and three turtles. Yvette is currently working as a nanny and homeschool teacher while working on her bachelor’s of nursing, and her husband is a data specialist. Yvette joined ResearchCon because she loves getting involved in the CF community, and she finds research incredibly interesting. Her husband has seen so much progress in his lifetime already and has been healthier for longer as a result thanks to CF research. Yvette is so excited to see what is next for CF patients, and she is so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this year’s ResearchCon!
