Sessions Target Audience: Pis / RC's / RegC's

During this session, three HOT topics will be discussed:
 - Lentiviral Vectors in Gene Therapy: Experiences to Date and Future Potential in CF:  what have we learned about the potential risks and benefits of this potential therapy.
 - The structure and function of the CFF TDN Sexual Health, Reproduction, and Gender Research (SHARING)Working Group:  The group seeks to 1) identify the gaps in knowledge around sexual and reproductive health concerns for all people with CF; 2) determine future research priorities; and 3) develop the infrastructure needed to efficiently move these research priorities forward.
 - The Bionic Pancreas in the Management of CFRD: Results and Next Steps:  The bionic pancreas is an artificial pancreas device consisting of a continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump that automatically administers insulin to control blood glucose levels. We will be reviewing the results of our recently completed single center, short-term, random-order cross-over trial investigating this device in adults with CFRD and will discuss our plans for a larger, longer multicenter randomized clinical trial in children and adults with CFRD.
