Dr. Christine Hachem is an adjunct research professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. After almost 20 years of clinical practice in Saint Louis, she recently transitioned her clinical adult gastroenterology practice to Salt Lake City, Utah and concurrently works for Intermountain Health. She is the current medical director of gastroenterology and digestive health for Intermountain GI.  Dr. Hachem’s clinical focus centers around cystic fibrosis, esophageal disorders, functional bowel disorders, and colon cancer. She has been recognized by the CF foundation as a DIGEST grant awardee focused on innovative Gastroenterology Specialty Training in CF. Her work in CF has centered on patient care and understanding ways to improve the delivery of gastroenterology-focused care in a multidisciplinary model. She has been an invited speaker for gastroenterology topics relevant to CF at both local and national forums. She is married to a physician who is also passionate about Cystic Fibrosis and has 2 children and a devoted dog, Luigi.
