Bio
Dr. Stacey Martiniano is an Assistant Professor in the Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado. As an academic pediatric pulmonologist and clinical researcher, Dr. Martiniano strives to lead a career that will impact the lives and improve health of children with cystic fibrosis. Specifically, her research is focused on studying nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) infection in CF. NTM is difficult to diagnose and treat. Dr. Martiniano’s research spans clinical, translational, and implementation realms in an effort to not only improve outcomes for patients with NTM but also help clinicians and the broader CF community care for patients with NTM. Dr. Martiniano regularly sees national referrals for pediatric patients with NTM and CF.

Dr. Martiniano received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and completed Pediatric Residency at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed a Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship as well as a Master of Science in Clinical Sciences graduate degree program at the University of Colorado Denver, Anschutz Medical Campus. Currently, Dr. Martiniano serves as the national Principle Investigator of the prospective, multicenter, observational studies entitled, “Prospective Evaluation of NTM Disease in Cystic Fibrosis (PREDICT)” and “Prospective Algorithm for Treatment of NTM in Cystic Fibrosis (PATIENCE),” funded by the CF Foundation. Additionally, she is the co-Investigator and Director of the Clinical Research Core for the CF Foundation Colorado CF NTM Research Development Program.
