Name
Research Impacting Lung Transplant Rejection
Description
Audience: All Connections
Stage: Post-Transplant

Research into Chronic Lung Allograft Dysfunction (CLAD) is one of the most important unmet needs in lung transplant research. With a better understanding we will be able to improve identifying mechanisms of lung transplant rejection and approaches to improve survival in people with CF post-lung transplant. Join Dr. Stephen Weigt, Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UCLA, as he shares about what CLAD is, why it is important, and where the research needs to go. He will be joined by a person with CF who has had a transplant to share a personal perspective.
