What Does Community Mean to You? Stories from Adults with CF
Session Format
Keynote
Description

The CF community can often feel like a broad and nebulous network, and living with CF can feel extremely isolating. For various reasons, it can be hard for some people of diverse backgrounds and experiences to feel like there is a place for them among other people with CF. At this keynote you will hear stories from adults with CF about how they find their place in this community. Our experiences of this disease are unique, but together -- and through our differences -- we can learn to build a community where everyone is welcome.

Session Objectives
  1. Learn more about the various and sometimes uncommon experiences of life with CF.
  2. Explore ways others have worked to build a more inclusive and equitable community through storytelling.
  3. Discuss how intersecting identities can affect the way people experience CF and their relationship to the CF community.
  4. Encourage a more holistic conversation about the CF community that recognizes and celebrates our differences.
