Bio

Jay Freeman is an associate professor of pediatrics at Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. There he serves as the director of the Advanced Pancreatic Care Program as well as the director of Digestive Health for the Emory+Children’s Pediatric CF Clinic. Dr. Freeman was one of the initial recipients of the Developing Innovative Gastroenterology Specialty Training (DIGEST) award from the CF Foundation and has remained active in studying the impact of GI and Hepatic disease on clinical outcomes in CF. He was a co-PI on the multi-center GALAXY study and is an active investigator within the CFLD-Network and PUSH study. He has co-authored multiple papers related to the management of GI and liver involvement in CF including those focused on nutrition, liver transplant, and pancreatitis.
