Dr. Sigrid Ladores is a tenured Associate Professor and Department Chair at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. She is a pediatric nurse practitioner, certified nurse educator and scientist. Her areas of research include reproductive health in individuals with cystic fibrosis, infertility in individuals with chronic illness, and transition of care models. Her research has been funded by intramural and extramural sources, including the NIH and CF Foundation. She received her PhD from the University of Central Florida, and her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. She was married to Andrew Ladores for 22 years. Andrew had cystic fibrosis and passed away in June 2022. They have two sons ages 15 and 7.
